Dead or Alive

This piece captures the magnitude of the ways that covid affected our everyday life. Our employment had been shut down for months and people were dying. It was mandated that we had to wear a mask, dead or alive. The skull while signifying death also evokes the fear that was felt at a time when a lot was unknown. I hope this piece evokes gratitude that we have overcome this battle of covid in society, but I also know that it can provoke a sadness that allows us to reminisce on the people and things we may have lost during that time. The original copy was drawn in black and white with pencil on texture paper that gives depth and contrast.

We have different mediums in which the prints can be printed on that would add its own unique flair and elements to the piece and the sizing is customizable.
